Nana Kwaku Boateng III known in private life as Odehye John Kwadwo Yeboah Gyamfi has been sworn in as the Omanhene of New Juaben by the Chiefs and Kingmakers of New Juaben Traditional Area in the Eastern Region.
The colourful event took place on Monday 27th June, 2022 at the New Juaben Traditional Council Palace and was attended by all the divisional and sub-divisional chiefs, Muslim chiefs, political leaders, the clergy and some government officials.
The new chief will become the overlord of the New Juaben State as He replaces the late Dasebree Prof. Emeritus Oti Boateng II, who died last year and buried this year.
Omanhene Nana Kwaku Boateng III was accompanied in state by Gyaase and was introduced to New Juabenman as the Omanhene. And as custom demands he was made to swear to the stool and commit to serve in diligence and in truth.
“I promise you that I will ensure unity and togetherness in New Juaben and extend to old Juaben. I will use my strength and work hard to bring development to New Juaben. I Nana Kwaku Boateng will not give up on you,” he swore.
All the Chiefs in New Juaben tradition area also swore before Nana Kwaku Boateng III and pledged their commitment to serve him and the traditional authority as by customs demands.
Asante Juaben Omanhene, Daasebree Otuo Serebour II recapped Nana Kwaku Boateng III to lead in truth and humility and instil unity among his people for development.
The Omanhene was carried in a palanquin and paraded in State and on the Principal Streets of Koforidua.
Background
Born Odehye John Kwadwo Yeboah Gyamfi now Nana Kwaku Boateng III, Paramount Chief of New Juaben Traditional Area was born on 1st March 1971 to Nana Kumnipa
clan of New Juaben.
He is the eighth born of the mother’s eleven children and had his primary education at Madonna International School in Koforidua and continued his secondary education at St. Peters Secondary School in Nkwantia.
He subsequently gained admission to the New Juaben Secondary School, Koforidua for his Sixth Form Course between 1989 to 1991.
Immediately after completing his A-Level Course, Odehyie Gyamfi traveled to Germany to pursue a course in Hotel Management in 1992 at prestigious Block House College in Hamburg.
He was offered employment as the Food and Beverage Manager at the Elyse Hotel (Block House) Hamburg, Germany after completing his education and held this position until 2011.
In 2019, Odehyie Kwadwo Yeboah decided to widen his scope of business and ventured into farming and together with a group of friends established a poultry farm in Ghana known as P89 in Winneba which has grown to become one of the largest poultry farms in Ghana.
He is married to Akosua Asiedua and has 7 children.
