Few days ago, Bishop Dag Heward Mills of United Denomination Originating from the Lighthouse Group Of Churches formerly called the Lighthouse Chapel International intimated that betting makes people poor, however, Ghanaian musician, Kofi Kinaata has come out to debunk such claims that sports betting makes people poor.

According to the “Behind the Scenes” crooner, although Bishop Dag-Heward Mills has come out to relate his experience and concluding that sports betting makes people poor, he feels some have also benefited tremendously.

According to Kofi Kinaata, it depends on what the man of God had seen, hence his reason for making such statements. He therefore believes that there are two sides of the coin when it comes to the issue of betting.

“So probably it depends on what he has seen that’s why he’s advising the youth to stay away from sports betting because he’s been in this world for a long time. However, it is two-sided when it comes to sports betting,”

He further went on to add that there were some who were in abject poverty, but betting has changed their fortunes.

“There are some people who were also wallowing in abject poverty but through staking a sports bet they won and have suddenly become billionaires. So, does it mean their riches from sports betting is a misfortune” he added.
