After the first half of the match between Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs and Legon Cities FC, the referee , Alfaa Ba Adey, refused to continue the game (2nd half).
His reason was the supporters of Ebusua Dwarfs had threatened him and his linesmen if he fails to allow the home team to win.

Due to this effect, the GFA Disciplinary committee sat on the case and the result didn’t go down well with the management of Ebusua Dwarfs.
This is the response from the club;
”We disagree with the decision of the disciplinary committee of Ghana Football Association in relation to our match day 23 fixture of the GPL which the referee (Alfaa Ba Adey ) decided to stop the match claiming threats on his life.
This decision in our view is misleading and flawed. We have filed an appeal within the stipulated time and we are convinced it will SUCCEED. ”
