Ghana’s fastest sprinter, Benjamin Azamati will face some of the world’s heavyweights including Olympic gold medalist, Lamont Marcell Jacobs and South Africa’s Akani Simbine at this year’s IAAF Diamondleague in Oslo which comes off on June 16.
The 24year old and Ghana’s 100M record holder with a personal best of 9.90secs this year will use this opportunity to have a feel of top level action before the World Championships and the Commonwealth Games.
On JoySports earlier this month, Ghana’s athletes talked about the need to get the right preparations ahead of the subsequent competitions and Ghana’s 100m national record holder will see this as a huge opportunity.

The starting list also includes strong competitors such as South African Akani Simbine, who was number six in the world list last year with 9.84 and Italian Lamont Marcell Jacobs, who won the Men’s 100m Olympic Gold medal at Tokyo with winning time of 9:80
